Housed in the same chassis as the rest of the range the Gemini 23 RF section has been designed from the ground up to meet new standards in performance.
The Gemini 23 uses the latest NXP BLFG13L-250P LDMOS device for high performance and maximum ruggedness.
A lot of hours have been spent designing the output filter network to provide the highest standard of harmonic rejection with minimal insertion loss. The Gemini 23 incorporates a LPF providing >70dB rejection of the 2nd and higher harmonics. A band stop filter active above 4GHz enhances this further. No other amateur 23cms amplifier can match this performance although it does come at the cost of very slightly lower power output and efficiency than less well considered designs. Excellent rejection of harmonic products is increasingly important, particularly with the current and planned intensive use of the 2.6GHz band by mobile phone systems.
This, combined with built in protection for overdrive, High SWR and over temperature ensures solid reliable clean signal performance at high outputs for long periods.
The 1296 MHz Gemini 23 incorporates a front panel switchable 13.8v preamplifier supply on receive. This can be selected by the operator to be either an output voltage on the rear panel or a coax bias-T feed as required.
GEMINI 23 is a complete turnkey solution incorporating an integral 50V linear power supply so no external PSU is required.
