These GU74b / 4CX800A tubes are NEW Chinese manufacture not new old stock (NOS) Russian. They are sourced direct from Acom.
These new tubes are produced in China by Acom’s long-time supplier and producer of 4CX1000A tubes. ACOM have invested a significant amount of money in developing their tube testing processes and special tube testing measuring equipment. All new tubes are tested in the factory with the ACOM’s developed and manufactured equipment to their exacting quality and technical standards.
With the on-going situation with Russia it is now no longer possible for Acom to source sufficient quantity of the NOS Svetlana GU74b/4CX800A tubes for production so Acom now have these tubes manufactured specifically for them.
These Chinese manufactured tubes are a drop-in replacement for any amplifier using GU74b/4CX800 tubes. They are dimensionally identical externally. So other than bias adjustment if needed there are no alterations needed to the amplifier to fit these.
These GU74b are supplied with a 12 month unlimited hours warranty.
